12.01.2027 – 25.01.2027
MuseHome brings together photographic works by Naomi Leshem that have previously been exhibited in museums.
Each work formed part of a carefully curated museum exhibition and was experienced within a public context. These exhibitions were temporary, but they remain part of each work’s history. Once an exhibition ends, the work continues beyond the context in which it was first encountered, open to new ways of being seen.
The works in MuseHome come from different photographic series created over the years. Brought together here, they reveal the continuity of Leshem’s photographic language across different subjects, places, and moments in time.
In a home, each artwork stands on its own and gradually becomes part of everyday life. Unlike a museum visit, where the time spent with an artwork is limited, living with it allows for repeated encounters over time. It may be noticed in passing or returned to with greater attention. As daily life changes, so does the way we look at the work, allowing new associations and meanings to emerge over time.
MuseHome explores how the experience of an artwork changes when it moves from a public exhibition space into a home.
